Childs Toy Box – Price guide £1275

Here I have made a toy box for my daughter. This is based on an earlier design which I made as a wedding gift for a friend. As the original drew a lot of praise from all who saw it I decided to make two, one for myself and an additional one for the show room. It is made from quarter sawn English Oak which has a very distinctive medullary ray grain on top of which is very stable. The unique wooden hinge is made from American Cherry as is the plinth and name plaque. The bottom is made from Cedar of Lebanon for it aromatic smell and moth repelling properties.
